Do not use black hat tactics in attempting to increase your rank.

The reason for this is twofold:

First, using black hat tactics probably won’t lead to great results. If you do see an increase in organic traffic, most of it won’t be the type of traffic that’s going to convert, effectively meaning wasted budget.

Second, and probably the more significant reason is that Google hates black hat tactics. In fact, websites that engage in them are actively penalized, which makes it much harder to get onto the first page of Google.
